xfree86 and mouse probs
I boot to cli and when i #startx I always get paraphrased
cant find /dev/psaux failed config mouse no /dev/input/mice no core pointer thats not exact but close.....then I #startx again and it starts normal...the message isnt in my logs I think because it gets over written (sp) when I startx again and it starts correct like....so can I mkdir /dev/psaux...then copy a /dev/mouse into that dir and expect that to stop the errors?? or am I in outer space?? /dev/input/mice does exist btw |
The first thing to find out is what type of rodent
you actually have to be able to make a well- informed suggestion... As for the log - you could copy it to a safe place before running startx again? ;) Cheers, Tink |
its the logitech mouseman basic ps/2 scroll mouse ...it works I just want it to be just exactly perfect as in no login errors as in the first time I type #startx it works rather then having to do it twice

Wild guess - try to load the mouse-module before starting
X ... ? Cheers, Tink |
