xfree86 and ati radeon 9800

can anyone help running xfree86 with an ati radeon 9800 video card
when i launch "startx", i get the following error message: "RADEON: No matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:1:0:1) found
what changes do i need to make to /etc/X11/XF86Config?
my main screen is PCI:1:0:0 (1:0:1 is the secondary output).
i tried ading the line BusID "PCI:1:0:0" to the Device section but it doesn't change anything...

i'm new to linux so any help would be great, thanks,
dionoea

i got it working using command : XFree86 -configure and then using the new config file. It's weird that it doesn't try to do it automaticaly.

I actually was able to download the fglxr driver mentioned in a similar thread and that works too!

Now, if anyone has the multi-monitors working, that doesn't work for me either...
