cant get XFree86 to work!!!
 
Hi everyone,
This is my first time at Linux. I am installing RH8 on my computer with a Intel 810 Video card and Dell M781P monitor. However, I cant get my XFree86 to work. I get an error :
No matching device section for instance(BUSID PCI:0:1:0) found
Fatal server error
No screens found.
I am attaching the log file. It seems to me that my primary PCI but is not 0:1:0. But I dont know how to solve this!!
Someone help me please!!!

Might be worthwhile trying to get Red Hat 9, which has support for more hardware.

You have two video cards and the system is finding the wrong one when it tries to use X you will have to modify your XF86Config-4 file with the proper settings.

Above you can see the two cards being detected and below here you can see when it tries to load the i810 module it is using the Riva as the primary card look at the bus id's it is using.

Could you post the XF86Config-4 file that you are using and are you trying to run some kind of dual monitor setup?
