XFCE4 and Dropline Gnome problems
Here's the story: I had XFCE4 installed on my computer, and decided to try out Dropline Gnome. (XFCE4 was part of the default everything installation of Slackware 9.1.) So I installed the package, ran dropline-installer, and basically left it to it's own devices. (In reality, I fell asleep while it was installing.) It installed itself well, ran without a hitch, except that now, whenever I try to log into XFCE4 instead of DG, there are many things wrong with XCFE. The background is missing, the panel is missing occasionally, etc.
Now, I'm guessing that it has something to do with the fact that both (as far as I have been told) use GTK. Apart from installing XFCE from scratch, is there a way I can fix it? Will installing XFCE mess up DG?
Thank you in advance!
looks like dropline upgraded some libs higher than your XFCE install liked.
Have you tried to upgrade XFCE also,
maybe they have to come on one "level".
Just an idea
Thanks! I actually have no idea wht happened, but that sounds like as good an explanation as any. I'll try that.
