Angry .Xdefaults doesnt take effect, even with xrdb -merge .xdefaults...

(Man, I always get the most weird problems of the net... not one EASY TO SOLVE little problem, damn it!)

Ok, i want to alter the colors on my terms... the problem is that when I modify something on my HOME/me/.Xdefaults it doesnt take effect (not always) For example:

!XTerm*color4: steelblue
XTerm*color4: blue
!XTerm*color12: cornflowerblue
XTerm*color12: blue

Those colors 4 and 12 DO alter whenever I change their values (as I did)... However...

!XTerm*color1: OrangeRed
XTerm*color1: yellow
!XTerm*color9: OrangeRed

Color 1 doesnt change AT ALL!! Nor does the green... This is a mystery to me...

Any suggestions??
