x11 webmin etc

1) webin modules until configured will be in the unused dir

hmm can't find that, looked in /usr/share/webmin

2) more details needed

it's a huawei e220 which works fine under ubuntu. I just need to know how to internet share with xp. We will be getting cable soon, so that I want shared too.

3) evolution can easily be configured to do just about everything including gmail use this tutorial

I want to get gmail into my linux mailbox and yahoo mail into my girlfriend's mail box, as well as local mail.

4)do you mean to do a remote desktop ?
1. Install packages. Code: sudo apt-get install x11vnc vnc-java
2. Set up a password for clients. Code: x11vnc -storepasswd
3. Open up ports 5800 and 5900 on your firewall
4. Run the terminal command: x11vnc -forever -usepw -httpdir /usr/share/vnc-java/ -httpport 5800 and add it for auto-starting in future sessions

now you can go to http://yourhostname:5800 and the vnc will be on a webpage

WOW thanks for that !! it works a treat. A bit slugish but it works.

You guessed it, now can I use winxp's reote desktop on linux?
