Hi,

When I log onto a server, I get the error message "Warning: No xauth data; using fake authentication data for X11 forwarding." Although this has not been a problem before, I can no longer open STATA in an interactive window. As of yesterday, "xstata-mp8" opened STATA, but now, I get the following errors:

X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication.
The application 'xstata-mp8.bin' lost its connection to the display localhost:50.0;
most likely the X server was shut down or you killed/destroyed
the application.

I made sure that X11Forwarding is enabled in sshd_config.

I figured it out! In order for X11 to run properly, it must be able to write to the home directory. I didn't realize that there was a 500MB quota for my home directory, and I was using all 500MB. I deleted some files, and stata now works. I still get the warning message when I log onto the server, but at least things work now!
