Question X Windows Help

Hi All,

I have recently upgraded to Version 4.1.0 of XFree86, after earlier would not detect my video card. I now have it working yet when i start X windows i find that i am missing the bottom section of the screen. I have loaded in both 800x600 and 1028x768. Is there something i am missing?

I have a Trident CyberBlade i7 card which is compatible with this version as the last version i had could not even load any display.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

ddan_c

If any further information is helpful let me know and i can post it.

that card is supported by the "trident" driver on 4.x - check your /etc/XF86Config file - make sure the "trident" driver is specified. if it already is, then you're probably going to need to mess around with xf86config to get the screen specs correct.
