X-windows failed

Ok, so I was using the Fedora 6 network utility and unwittingly changed the hostname from localhost.localdomain to another one, which caused x-windows to fail next time I logged in.

In the fail-safe mode I was able to change the /etc/sysconfig/network file to have localhost.localdomain as the hostname again, but that hasn't fixed it. Anyone else know what I can do to get it working again?
