X windows


How do you tell what version of X-Windows you have? I am running Fedora Core 4.

So does that have anything to do with Xfree? Becuase I am trying to get my ATI onboard graphics to work. And it wants to know my xfree version and something about x window. Sorry if I asked the wrong question. Thanks.

Yes, it does (in a sense). Your version of X is X.org 6.8.2 (Linux distributions tend to be moving away from XFree in favour of X.org) - which, IIRC, is the top selection in the ATI installer.

That's the one. If you pick that option and the automatic install, you should be left in a good state with the drivers installed. Don't forget to run 'fglrxconfig' afterwards!

I have a ATI Radeon X200.... Does that matter to much?
