x-startup failure


hi i tried intallin rhel 5 server edition in my laptop
but durin the installation the x-starup does not start
and goes into text mode ,after installation
the operatin system option does not appear and it boots directly into vista
i have intel gm45 chipset with a cd2 processor and 2gb ram
with vista buisness installed
can i know what shud be done
