x is giving me trouble with horizontal sync
i've just installed slackware 10.1 on my desktop, im running slack 10.1 on my laptop pretty nicely but my desktop is something else.
x has never given me trouble, but now, its about the Horizontal Sync or something like that. i got an HP pavillion, with an M70 monitor, and a 32 mb tnt2 card. i get this error message: "the horizsync keyword must be followed by a list of numbers or ranges" when i look into the xorg.conf file, this is what i got on section monitor HorizSync 30.0 - 70.0 HorizSync 13619 - 0 VertRefresh 50 - 120 what could be wrong? if anybody has the same kind of monitor, and a 3 button mouse, send me your xorg.conf file :D , but still, it be nice to know how to fix it. help much appreciated. |
try after removing this line
HorizSync 13619 - 0 regards |
well i've tried it.
i also forgot to mention that the error is a parse error on line 49, if i erase that line, or comment it, it says the same thing but for line 48 i never thought x was so hard... |
can u send me ur xorg.conf file
this is my email id linux4all[at]gmail[dot]com |
yeah, i'd send it, if i knew how...
im writing this from my laptop, not my desktop. what app should i use to send an e-mail from the terminal, or better yet, how do i "connect" to my desktop, i've never done filesharing on linux, it be a good way to start... |
