Applications freeze when trying to print
Since some time I have a strange printing problem:
If I try to print on paper (as opposed to printing to file which is OK) from Konqueror or GhostView, the system freezes. The only solution I found so far is to kill the process (Konqueror, for most of the time). Imho the shell gives no hint: $ konqueror http://www.linuxquestions.org fcntl: Bad file descriptor fcntl: Bad file descriptor khtml (jscript): WARNING: Javascript: access denied for current frame 'media.fastclick.net' to frame 'www.linuxquestions.org' KDirWatch: /etc/security/fileshare.conf is a file. Use addFile! Before I had a similar problem after I changed the server name - localhost to openmedia. This time I did not make any apparent changes, or I made them without realizing what I was doing. Anyway, it's hard to trace back. Another related printing problem is that Mozilla doesn't print at all. I can't print from GhostView either, but from Acrobat it's OK. I am sure I don't provide enough information here, but I don't know what else to tell. Does someone have any tips? |
