wxWindows - lmule

Greetings

I am trying to install lmule (because of the moment I can't get the edonkeyclc server is down or something like that) any way after downloading lmule and unpacking it I did the ./configuer

and this is what it gave me

Please check that wx-config is in path, the directory
where wxWindows libraries are installed (returned by
'wx-config --libs' command) is in LD_LIBRARY_PATH or
equivalent variable and wxWindows is version 2.4.0 or above.
Or this might also be a bug in our configure. Please try again
with --with-wx-config=/usr/bin/wx-config
(replace /usr/bin/wx-config with a valid path to your wx-config)

Now I have looked around for wxWindows I found the website or at least a site that calls its self http://www.wxwindows.org/ any way the only file I could find there was wxWidgets.

Now this may be what I need just in another name, however I can not find the linux verson of it only unix (which I know linux is made from) even so I do not want to get somthing that may not work or worse.

ok so here it is what do I dl where is it and what is it called

ps: if any one know where I can dl edonkeyclc-1.2 or overnetclc-1.0 just tell me and forget about the rest (unless of course it is something that I may need later)

thank you

wxWindows is just the older name for wxWidgets. Microsoft kindly asked them to change the name of the product and wxWidgets did as they asked.

What distro are you running? Pretty much every distro has packages for wxWidgets available.. you should be able to install it using those. It will make things much easier for you. Make sure you install the development libraries too, if you plan to compile lmule, otherwise you'll get the same error again.

try installing amule or xmule. i think those are your choices in the debian repository. it will install wxwindows as a dependency.
