wvdial on ubuntu-11.10 oneiric on arm platform

Hello ,

Iam running ubuntu-11.10 oneiric on an ARM board (beagleboard xm).I need to connect to internet using usb data card ( reliance netconnect , Huawei ec150). When i try to install wvdial , i get message -

Code:

'wvdial' has no installation candidate

.

Please suggest me how to resolve this. Is there any other package available which can do the same work as wvdial ?

Any relevant help would be appreciated

With some distros, while installing there is the option to install dial-up capabilities. I imagine you could try a "mock" install , see if it is available and if not just cancel the installation. I'm not at all familiar with your system but I believe that wvdial is available for any Linux distro. It should be highly unlikely that you would have to compile it yourself so why is it your Package Manager is not able to find it on a mirror is the real question is it not?
