wrong .bash_profile

My friend was experimenting adding commands to .bash_profile, and it turned out that now he can't login to the server - telnet loses connection after printing some info lines (output of scripts that were included in .bash_profile). Anyway, I can connect to the server and I have his login/pass. What can I do? I can't su or sudo.

Thanks in advance and sorry for bad English

If you got SSH access maybe "ssh user@host 'mv -f /home/user/.bash_profile /home/user/bash_profile'",
else if you got FTP access try that,
else dunno.

Only thing you need to be sorry about is using telnet.

Thanx, worked great!

P.S. Using putty via SSH. Said telnet for simplicity
