Woof (single file transfer) question

I want to transfer files from my computer to my mobile phone.
So I downloaded woof.

I gave a list of commands:
woof musiclist
woof -i 10.233.142.1 -p 8080 musiclist
woof -i 10.233.142.1 -p 8008 musiclist
sudo woof musiclist

Nothing worked. What am I doing wrong here?

Quote:
Usage: woof [-i <ip_addr>] [-p <port>] [-c <count>] [<file>]
woof [-i <ip_addr>] [-p <port>] [-c <count>] [-z|-j|-Z|-u] <dir>
woof [-i <ip_addr>] [-p <port>] [-c <count>] -s
woof [-i <ip_addr>] [-p <port>] [-c <count>] -U

Probably nothing, woof crashes when trying to download a file to my phone also. Not sure what is wrong but you might want to try a sftp/ftp client instead.

woof will not work itself (or alone), woof is just a web server. You need to browse that file and download on your phone.
I would suggest you to use airdroid for example (if you have an android)

Of course you can download files from a webserver to your smartphone.

I tried it on another computer. It does not crash and appears to actually download successfully from the server side but not from the phone. Status always indicates in progress.

I didn't find the right solution to this problem, so I searched for another solution and I found it: the app "ftp-server" from The Olive Tree. Really easy to use.

With regard to the above discussed problem, I am going to take it elsewhere.

Thank you for your answers.
