Arrow WMP substitute plugin for Firefox?

What can I substitute for the wmp plugin for firefox?

Kubuntu 8.04.1 x64
Firefox 3 (had to use the nspluginwrapper to get flash videos to work)
Use Vlc to play movies and such.

Thanks for the reply

I installed those 2 and also gnash with a few other plugins that installed automatically.(Divx, mplayer 3.5, quiktime 6.0/7, real player 9, shock wave flash, vlc multi. plugin, and wmp plugin[mplayer.....]) Those are my list of plugins installed. I can get the wmv web videos to play now but there is no sound coming from them and can't pause, rewind, stop ect. I don't care about the pause buttons and stuff just the sound.

Have you enabled the extra repositories? You can try:

Code:
sudo apt-get install w32codecs
You may need to add medibuntu repositories? See here: http://https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu, see if that helps you.

w32codecs is not officially supported in ubuntu, so unless you added them yourself, they won't be there. Go to the medibuntu site I put in my last post and follow the directions to add the medibuntu repos to your machine, don't forget to add the gpg key, then do:

Code:
sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install w32codecs
That should work for you! Drop another line here if you're having trouble.
