I tried to do wlanconfig .. but receiving "wlanconfig command not found"
I read that the problem is probebly that the file is missing or in a difrrent directory, if so, how can i detect it on BT5 or download it and install?

Go to YouTube, type in "how to hack wireless" and look for TinkerNut's version. This should give you some info there. This video is made to help people check the vulnerability of their network.

The problem is that VMware simulates a PC, it is not passing through the real hardware. As the name virtual machine states, most of the hardware is virtual, also you network connection. Therefore Backtrack simply can't see your wireless.

If you are new to Linux, I would recommend to install a distribution that is intended for desktop use and learn your basics before going further.
