Angry Wirless w/ Linux and Some boot prolbems


At boot the computer hangs when i enter interactive setup...it hangs on the following
reading aheard early
kudzu
firtboot
reading ahead
any ideas guys y this happens?

another problem is i use wireless and once i get to desktop and check it is disable..how can
enable it?

thx in adv.

for wireless, it is often better to use ndiswrapper and install the windows drivers for the device. most distros offer ndiswrapper in the installable software, so it isn't hard to use the package manager and get it, then use the driver disk that came with the wireless device to install the windows driver for it.

I think if native drivers exist then it's better to use those than ndiswrapper.

OP: what network card do you have? That would give us somewhere to start from.
