you realize there is the open source driver and the broadcom driver. By dfault ubuntu uses the open source driver. I never had great luck with that driver.
Ubuntu has a bunch of tutorials how to use the broadcom driver. and how to load the firmware for it. But that is ubuntu way. I just use the linux way for that
driver. here is the ubuntu way http://askubuntu.com/questions/55868...rivers-bcm43xx
need third party repos.
since the driver been in the kernel two of them. for 6 years here is how you do it the linux way http://bcm43xx.berlios.de/
you have to load the firmware.
I had a broadcom once and after that made sure never got another. But dell loves there broadcom.
ask your self why this is a pain. well not the driver or the firm ware is the problem it is the licences on how you extract the firmware. thank M$ for that.
This is a good one for ubuntu also.https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wi...er/bcm43xxwell
