Wireless USB adapter & Ubuntu
I have two problems concerning using a wireless network
connection - USB adapter. I installes Ubuntu Linex
version 5.10 without the USB adapter connected. As
such, no network was available at install time. The
machine is an old IBM ThinkPad - Pentium II - 300 MHz.
1. Now that I have connected the USB adapter, the OS
does recognize that I have an USB network adapter
installed. I still cant get a network connection.
2. Is there an update of the WAP and WEP protocols.
I really want to use WAP because I heard that there
were security concerns with WEP
