Wireless Network USB Adapter Drivers

Hello. I'm a fairly new user to Linux, as I only installed Ubuntu 8.04 a few days ago. My desktop doesn't have a wireless card, so I stupidly bought a wireless USB adapter. The drivers for the adapter are on a disc, and it is only compatible with windows. So, I install Wine and am at least able to run the .exe . When the drivers begin to install, it fails. I'd rather get this to work somehow instead of taking it back to the store.

For the record, here is the wireless network adapter.

Thank you in advance, and I'm sorry if I'm not up to speed at this point.

open a terminal and type lsusb or sudo lsusb and post it. and then type lsmod and post it
then type dmesg and post it.
there are two version of your usbnet device and with out knowing the chip I will never be able to tell you what to do.
Also in system-hardware you may have to enable that nonfree driver and let ubuntu load it.
If you do not know what non-free software is then learn it has nothing to do with money.
