Exclamation Wireless Network Driver for Compaq Presario CQ60-215DX / Mint 15

I've been trying to get the wireless card working for this laptop on Mint 15, and so far this is what I've found:

Visiting the manufacturer's website yields an executable file for Windows, which doesn't work directly with the GUI built into Mint 15, which asks for a INF file.

This is a link to what I believe is the correct wireless card:

http://www.hexparts.com/Compaq-Presa...3H_p_1032.html

I've followed the directions from several sources including this one:

http://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/796

After updating the kernel and following that tutorial, iwconfig yields the following:

IEEE 802.11bg ESSIDff/any
Mode:Manged Access Point: Not-Associated Tx-Power=off Retry long limit:7 RTS thrff Fragment thrff Encryption keyff Power Managementff

lspci | grep "Wireless" yields the following:

07:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR242x / AR542x Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) (rev 01)

At this point I've dug around and done everything I know how to do but I haven't used Linux in quite a while and I could really use a hand getting this working.

Have you checked in
Quote:
dmesg
It's most likely missing firmware-atheros

Supposing that were the case, how would I install the firmware package? apt-get install firmware-atheros?

Odd, for whatever reason rebooting twice seems to have fixed the issue.

Thank you for your reply.
