Wireless LAN in Linux

My friend has a Linksys PCI network card and a Linksys wireless router. How can he get this to work in Linux?

Check the HCL for the PCI card.

Most likely you will have to set up with ndiswrapper.

Read through above. I picked the one above since you use Slack. I am not sure what your "friend" uses or what card.
If this is not correct for the card or disto.
Search here and google for "ndiswrapper <card model> <distro>"

Router setup should be the same as with any OS.

I hope this helps.

Use the HCL and the search here. They are one of the biggest assets this forum has.(sorry I am not preaching.)

Best Regards,
Blair

Thanks that's a lot of help. My friend is running Slackware too. I set it up for him and this is one thing I didn't know how to do.
