Wireless LAN in Linux
My friend has a Linksys PCI network card and a Linksys wireless router. How can he get this to work in Linux?

Check the HCL for the PCI card.
Most likely you will have to set up with ndiswrapper. http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...icle&artid=328 Read through above. I picked the one above since you use Slack. I am not sure what your "friend" uses or what card. If this is not correct for the card or disto. Search here and google for "ndiswrapper <card model> <distro>" Router setup should be the same as with any OS. I hope this helps. Use the HCL and the search here. They are one of the biggest assets this forum has.(sorry I am not preaching.) Best Regards, Blair |

Thanks that's a lot of help. My friend is running Slackware too. I set it up for him and this is one thing I didn't know how to do.
