Question wireless connection


i have just got the linux bible.
and i would run first the live feed on my hp mini.
wich linux is the best to get wireless internet on my computer without much to do.

It all depends on the wireless card in the HP mini. Mine has an Antheros card. Took me 2 minutes to configure it, and I was on line. Some cards are much more difficult.

I would suggest you go with one of the major ones, like Ubuntu, even though I don't like the way they handle wireless cards. For most users, it is the easier choice. There is a very large community to help, if you have problems.

Hello fellow newbie, I thought I'd get my 2nd post in after reading your thread. I just started with Linux in January and I'm loving it. I just wanted to confirm what senior member camorri had already stated.........Ubuntu is a an excellent starting point. My wireless connection was not auto-configuring, but after a few searches in the Ubuntu community forums, I had found the answer that I needed very quickly and had my internet up and running, since then I have had no issues.
