wireless causes linux to freeze
 

When I use wireless card sometimes linux freezes and I reboot from the powerswitch and everything that is not written to the hardisk is lost. So what I did is turn an option in fstabs to alway's have the hardisked "synced" with the cashe. This solved the problem however, having to read the hardisk everytime is sometimes slower.

When linux freezes is it possible to recover from it? None of the buttons on the keyboard work not even caps.

I use Kubuntu on a Dell laptop

What type of card is it?
What drivers?
Did you look online to see if people had similar problems with that hardware?

Did you look at your logs to see if there is a clue as to what exactly happens? Or more details?

The card is Belkin F5D7010 54g

I tryed searching but didn't get anything to work. I remember I had problems before installing the card, I forgot how I installed the card. Here is how in general it freezes:
I insert card (or its already there). Start computer
use it, put computer for suspend for about 10hours (I'm a sleep, comming out of suspend is faster than turning on the computer )
I use the card again, it works for a while, then internet stops working, I try connecting, eventually everything freezes. I use nm-applet to connect by the way. and have a WPA security for connecting.

Which log should I be looking at?

Look in /var/log, you can try 'messages'

Try unplugging before suspending next time. Some laptops/hardware does not work as nicely as others when suspending/unsuspending.
