I don't use Ubuntu but there's 3 things you need to do ( I guess :D );
-install kernel headers -install madwifi driver -install http://wicd.sourceforge.net/ http://www.stchman.com/ath_drv.html Welcome to LQ! |
You may also wish to upgrade to Ubuntu 9.04. I upgraded with my Toshiba Satellite A215-S7428 and the wifi worked better. It is also an Atheros chipset like yours. You may do this with
Code:
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade |
Thx for your help and post on this request. I update to ubuntu 9.04 64-bit and by default he have the driver for my wireless card. thx my laptop is completely running.

That's good to hear. They are always about 6 months to a year behind integrating the drivers for these cards into the generic kernel.
