Hi,
I have Backtrack4r2, and it did not detect my wireless card which is
Intelpro 2200.
I installed Windows wireless driver, after i installed the regular driver using wine, but it did not work.

module is not detected by linux No wireless extension.
Can some one explain step by step how can I install rhe driver where the card is not detected.

Thanks for the reply.
I figured the problem and I fixed it as follow

1- My BackTrack 4 R2 was unable to detect my wireless builtin Intel Pro 2200, and I noticed the message at booting up the system when is said faild to load firmware error -2

2- I downloaded the firmware file from sourceforg website.

3- I untar the files into /lib/firmware, and I restarted the system

4- I used iwconfig to get the interface name, where it was there

5- I used Wicd and added the name of the interface
6- I disconnected the wired connection, and refreshed the network
and every thing is working fine

so it is fixed
