Wireless card

Hi I've been trying to get my atheros wireless card (Mini pcie) to work but with no luck. I'm currently using Kali linux. Do I need to install a driver or is there any other way for the chipset to work?

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

If you have to ask a question like this then you shouldn't be using Kali...

Anyway, post the output of:
Code:
lspci -knn|grep -iA2 net

Your drivers are already loaded but you appear to have two wireless cards -- they are probably conflicting.

You could disable the Intel wireless card by adding this to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf (create the file if it does not exist):
Code:
blacklist iwlwifi
EDIT: You will need to reboot for this to take effect; you could remove the module immediately using:
Code:
# modprobe -r iwlwifi

Thank you for your help. I've blacklisted my Intel wireless card, but my atheros card is still not working as it should. I need it to scan a specific frequency (5.450G). I've tried setting my reg to 00 which works fine, but the wireless card still doesn't scan the frequency.
