Wired_PRoblem


Hello , I am a modrate newbie
my problem is i have lot of distros but now they cant be installed correctly
I have pc linux os but that doesnot get installed and hangs in installation process (i tried diff versions + burns)

I got ubuntu 5.10 it too doesnto get installed (says cd-rom read failed) [i checked integrety of my cdrom its perfect

i used 2 use suse but now it has started giving me problems

the problem is it gets installed perfectly but after some reboots (during which i donot temper much near to zero) it boots not showing the usual coloured boot screen but some characters and at some point system freezes (no hardware changes made so now any suggestions??

my specs are p4 2.66 256 mb ram, NVIDIA RIVA tnt2 ,
all are fine
HD = segate 40gb barracudda

I ALSO HAD ARCH WHO GAVE ME A LOT OF BOOTLOADER PROBLEM (and i just didnot use it )
