Wipe hard drive and resotre windows? + Backup

I'm selling my laptop (an IBM X31) and so I have to return the machine to factory state.

As much as I would love to leave Linux on it, they've asked for original Windows

What is the best way? I have the resotre disks, but they need the drive and MBR to be empty?

I'll be installing linux on the new one hopefully!

Thanks in advance
Nandish

Simply put in you restore disks and boot from them
Get into a rescue console, and follow the instructions.
