I am trying to transfer file from my windows 7 computer to my 13.1 opensuse computer with winSCP. I have winSCP in my windows. I used to transfer files from windows to opensuse 11 without any problem. after installing 13.1 I can not transfer any file and I just receive this error massage from winSCP every time I try :No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it
I open the port 20 21 22 and SSH in opensuse firewall. I do not know anything about the rest of securities in opensuse 13.1. please help.
Do I need to set up an SFTP or FTP client in the opensuse? I did not do anything for my old opensuse( the one that winscp can connect with)
many thanks

Ensure your sshd is configured correctly and running, then check the log files on the server to see if there are any error messages.

run these commands to test it out:
Code:
sudo systemctl status sshd.service
ssh localhost
sudo systemctl stop sshd.service
sudo /usr/sbin/sshd -d -d -d
# and then in another terminal type:
ssh -v -v -v
# and then examine the diagnostics for clues

The host keys are missing. Something like this should generate new ones:
Code:
sudo ssh-keygen -t rsa -f /etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key
