winex, no such file or directory?? help please

ok, i installed winex with

su
<root password>
rpm -ivh winex3.3.1.i586.rpm
exit

everything was isntalled corectly (or so i thought)
but then every time i try to run a program using wine, for example:

wine /mnt/cdrom/autorun.exe

i get this message:

wine: chdir to /home/luke/.wine/wineserver - luke : no such file or directory

(by the way-my user name is luke, if preformed on root...)

wine: chdir to /home/root/.wine/wineserver - luke : no such file or directory
----
how do i create a directory in home??? is that what i even need to do?
