Hello,

Im trying to use wine with the HP printer application. I can already use my printer with the linux driver but I cant use the auto-feeder for the scanner without the windows application.

I can get through the installation process until its ready to find the printer(connected through the network) but Wine doesn't have a network connection.

I have tried a few programs and the wine explorer but it tells me its not connected to the network.

Firefox, however, gets through and connects to the internet.

What should I be looking at? Any ideas?

How is printer connected to you're network ?
With a printer cable .
Or wireless

My printer is connected with an Ethernet cable to my router.

Is there a way to set the wine network interface? I thought it uses my default linux network settings but it cant connect even though my Linux pc has no trouble connecting.

Here is some extra information:

OpenSuse 12.3 x64
using network manager
wine version 1.5.23
Have no trouble with network other than wine. Printer even works on network with the linux drivers.
