WINE: Runtime Error '76'

Hello.

I'm running FC3 with the 2.6.9-1.667 kernel installed (CUPS doesn't like 2.6.11 and I can't figure out how to fix that just now) and I am trying to run the program Script Editor through Wine. I copied all of the files over to my desktop from windows (as well as a number of DLL and OCX files that were needed by the program).

Now I get the error

Runtime Error '76': Path not Found.

This is after the following is displayed in the console:

Does anyone know what could have caused this? Or even what the error message is refering to?

Thank you!

I had trouble with Wine until I grabbed Winetools

I then ran WT2... stepped through the menu screen in order (like it advises to do)

and now I have a great, working Wine

I'm a newbie, but I hope that that helps

Peace Out

EDIT::: had to remove wine and reinstall

Yeah, I tried getting winetools but I had problems installing it. I'll try it again tonight and see if I can't recreate the problem. Thanks for your help.

you have to use a version of wine which is on the *tested with...* list. One of the following ::::

20040914
20041019
20041201
20050111

and follow the instructions to the letter

Peace Out

The program I am running hasn't been tested with any of those distros as far as I know. It's not on the lists.

Its called Script Editor from Mindstar. I figured I'd try to run it anyways but it doesn't work. Oh well. Back to windoze i guess.

not necessarily...
what I meant was that the version of WINE you run must be one of the versions I listed. I have installed and run some apps that were not on the tested list

Good luck.
