Unhappy Wine Problem.....

Hi,

Have just installed the latest rpm of wine from winehq. After successful installation message, when I tried to run wine it gave me the following error :

yeah, there have been a lot of problems with wine.
try compiling from the source and during the setup, tell wine to create its own fake windows directory. that seems to work a lot better
to test it out after the install, use the run command (alt-f2 in kde) and type wine notepad.exe
see if it opens notepad, if so, then it is installed properly

You need to use the RPMs from newrpms.sunsite.dk
