Wine problem
 

I just installed wine last night and was trying to open up the compuserve program to see if I might finally be able to access the internet through linux. The first window which slowly opens up the program (think of aol) finished and went to the browser window, but then the window that is to come up with the login messed up and I had to kill the application, a few times this happened. In the command line I get this error :

is this a fixable error? or is this just another thing with the fact that wine is nowhere near being in full completion?

Also, I wanted to know how is it possible to uninstall fluxbox and afterstep after installing them from source?

You have to change WINE to point to your windows partition. Then you have to spend hours configuring WINE. Also you have to make a copy of the config file before running wine. IMO, WINE is messy and it has a high security risk. LINUX can be infected by Windows viruses and spyware through WINE.

If you have an external modem, you can try VMware. You need an OS like Windows to make VMware to work. Also Windows restore CDs will not work. Theres Plex86 that makes a virtual machine like VMware that is free but it has a lot limitations.
