Wine partially working on Debian

I'm using a program with wine on a Mandriva system without problems.

I have to set up anoter machine to run that program, but I have problems with it.
The system is Debian etch and now I have the latest Wine installed.
The program itself starts and run, but there are some buttons under it's menus that doesn't show up. I can click on it, but there are nothing on the buttons itself (so, they are grey).

I've tried to copy all of the .wine directory contents from my working Mandriva installation to the Debian, but it worked exactly as with the original Debian files.

So, I think I have to install some other packages to get it work, but I don't know which ones.
I hope you can help me.

Could you post the terminal output when you launch both instances? It might be worth it to see how different it is on Debian machine to Mandriva's.

I have sound in Mandriva (the working one), and I have no sound card in the Debian computer.
Also, this is a much slower machine (slower HDD, CPU, Video card and fewer RAM).

In Mandriva I use KDE, and in Debian there is Gnome interface. I also tried to install KDE in the Debian machine, but I didn't started it, however, I have some KDE applications.

Hmm, I can't see anything obvious - if you don't manage to get it to work on Debian and both your machines are on the same LAN you can forward X via ssh and have it displayed on your Debian machine. Sorry that I couldn't be of help.

The two machines are on the same LAN yet and later I would like to access the Debian system by the other computer via VNC (that part works, but the wine's problem is also 'displayed' on the client machine).

I hope somebody has idea to get it working.
I think there is a library have to be installed to get this program work correctly.

At wine's IRC channel I got an answer that Wine packages supplied by Debian is too minimal...
...but I still don't know what I have to install to get a fully working wine on Debian... :(

I suppose you can remove wine that you got from Debian repos and just compile wine's newest version from source. If you don't like installing from source try this:

I have the latest version of wine in both machines (from www.winehq.org), so there should be differences also in other libraries... :(
