about wine
i haven't used wine yet... does wine open exe files witch are located in your windows..!? or will it alow you to install exes or will it alow your to use windows xp in wine...
cause i have 30gb or crap in my windows xp.. :D and i want to use them in linux(90% of softs)

Both.

Some applications will run, some won't. Wine is a pretty beta program which seems to work randomly. You're better off using Linux native applications then use wine... ever... check out this list:

for a nice list of programs available for Linux and it's equivalent under Windows. Stay away from wine... trust me :)
