Windows XP/Ubuntu Internet Problems
 

Well my internet works on my Windows XP partition but not on my Linux Partition. The wireless card wont even pickup any signals. Is there anyway to configure it so that it will recieve signal. Also im really new at linux so a step by step would be helpful thanks.

Wireless NICs are not Plug and Play in Linux. Before anyone can help you, they will need to know:

--Linux distribution
--Wireless NIC type and chip set
--What you've done so far to try to fix the problem

Look at the output of lsmod to see if anything looks like a wireless interface.

I suspect you will need to download and install the appropriate driver for the wireless NIC.
