Windows XP/Mandrake 10 Dual-Boot
Hello.
I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to Linux. I have used Mandrake 10 before, but have always been nervous about dual-booting Windows and Mandrake. I've used Partition Magic to try and dual-boot, but for some reason I can never get into Mandrake even after I've installed it. I have Windows XP installed currently as the only OS and don't really want to use partitioning software if I don't absolutely have to. Can someone please tell me how to go about the dual-boot without having to use a partition manager? Thanks in advance. |

I personally have a 20 Gig drive dedicated to linux, and I install the bootloader on that drive only, and then boot to that drive from the BIOS. |
You should probably make sure win is on the first partition. I had a problem whit that, but when I had win on the first partition everything worked perfectly.
