I have migrated. What I have done is to use the Windows alternative. I use Openoffice which basically can handle Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point FIles. It's just a matter of figuring out what Linux App = Window App. I don't mess with Wine because I have not foound it ver reliable. I use VMware which works great for running a virtual windows world.

Thanks,
Ernie

Well ernie...
Here we use MS-Access a lot... and that my trouble...
We just need access running cause all queries made here are for the dumb (microsoft) world... we just have newba users logged on our server...
thats my trouble...
By start the wine runs perfectly... the only trouble is the office applications...
have you find any access compatible software??? If so, please tell me...
Thank you!!!

It could give you guys some extra work but you can move all those apps to Gambas (similar to VB) and/or to Rekall (similar to Access). Both are licensed under GNU GPL.

Best,

Lopo
