Unhappy Windows shared path accessible from linux


Hi All

I would like to know how to access windows shared path from linux box like we access in windows (for ex : //127.0.0.0) Pls help me on this.

Hi,

in your case you should probably use a filemanager with a built in samba client. Are you using a file manager? If so, which one?

nixCraft has a good article covering mounting a Windows share on a Linux system.

Some file browsers also support the form smb://<ipaddress> and will prompt for user and password (Fedora 18 Gnome 3 Desktop comes with "files" which handles Windows shares in this manner).

I have a Jboss configuration file which were used in windows and i goin to use same configuration in Linux too which has shared path like (for ex : //127.0.0.0)
