Dialing up with a Windows machine and surfing with linux. Can YOU post a link?!

I'm getting 2gether a list of ppl trying 2 do this->

- my brothers` machine dialing in with Windoze, acting as a gateway (192.168.0.1)

- & linux surfing though the gateway`ed win machine,

very simple got it 2 work before, but no longer...?!

Can ping all IP's on the LAN but nothing more.
)) Proxies would be nice also.

You want to use Windows as a NAT/Masq firewall and gateway, huh?

Good point but it's his computer and his ADSL.

We're working on a seporate server with

2 Network Cards
1 Alcatel USB adsl modem
Mandrake 8

- then we can both of us can connect with

but it's proving very very hard.

Got to

1) get USB working
2) get third party Alcatel drivers working
3) get netconnection working
4) share this internet connection with my computer (gateway)
5) share this internet connection with my brothers computer also.
