Windows installation messed up booting linux

My problem is that I have two hard drives one with Win XP and the other with Suse. I reinstalled WinXP, but now the boot manager do not prompt me for which OS to use.it dissappeared, and not it goes directly into Windows. what should I do to get back the way it was? I do not want to lose the data in the hard drive with Suse.

Boot with the linux installer cd/floppy, manually boot into Suse with root=/dev/hdxy and reinstall the linux bootloader.
