Exclamation Windows fonts in Red Hat...

Hi. Here's the problem... In every program I use in Red Hat 9 (specifically Mozilla Firebird), each one that picks up on the installed Windows font, Tahoma, double-spaces it if it's bold. So regular Tahoma looks like this and bolded Tahoma l o o k s l i k e t h i s . Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
