windows failure
 
Who can pliz help?
I had windows 7 Home premium 64-bit on my laptop, i put Ubuntu Ultimate Edition 10.04 on another partition. but the computer cant load both OSs. grub lists Ubuntu and now instead of windows 7, there is Windows Visita loader. while i can access the windows disk c from Ubuntu, i cant log on to windows. What can i do, am out of options yet there is my work in windows disk. thanks

Does it show as an option at your grub selection menu?
If there isn't an option at to select windows then run

It should locate you wins os after boot you can use arrow key to select.

What happens when you select vista? Grub will sometime show vista for win 7 in an entry as they use the same bootloader.

If the suggestions above doesn't work, post the contents of your /boot/grub/grub.cfg file from Ubuntu and run this command from an Ubuntu terminal:

Did you upgrade from vista to wins7?
