Windows AD and Adding NIS Support
Greetings,
Learning Linux the hard way.. Am a windows admin been told i now support linux, since our linux chap left to go contracting.. so please be gentle, am keen to learn but never realised just how different. . Question Time. I am trying to get kerberos authentication working on a new C6.8 build, i have read many docs on step by step process's however i have noticed a problem with my existing windows AD.. NIS is not installed, ie when i look at the unix tab for a server there are no selectable options. According to MS you just add the service to a already existing AD environment. Am not comfortable with this as we have a rather complex AD environment with multiple domains. Anyone have any words of wisdom or can point me to additional documentation on the subject. Many thanks in advance |
NIS is not used.
AD is a version of LDAP+Kerberos+named. Depending on the distribution, the following may help: https://access.redhat.com/documentat...uide/pt01.html |
