window placement when opening apps

I am running redhat 9.0 with twinview enabled and working. My question is how do I tell programs where I want them to open. Specifically I want UT2003 to open in one monitor however it opens across the bottom of one screen and splits to the other.

I also would like my programs to open where I last closed them for example my mionitors are stocked top and bottom. I want email to always open in the top monitor and web browser windows to open in the bottom monitor. I appreciate any help anyone can give me.

thanks

I'm fairly certain that it's your window manager's responsibility to determine the placement of applications when opened. (Sawfish or Metacity if you use Gnome, etc.) You may be able to find such settings or command-line options in the documentation for your window manager.
